The process of submitting the Doctoral Study Program in Public Health Sciences has been carried out by filling out forms 1, 2, and 3 in 2011, with a letter of submission from Universitas Diponegoro No. 2086/UN7.P/DT/2011 dated April 20, 2011. The application is accepted and registered by DIKTI No. 20110613011 dated June 13, 2011. Next, fill out form 4 with an expiry date of December 10, 2011, but the Faculty of Public Health has uploaded form 4 on October 13, 2011.
In order to prepare for the establishment of the Doctor of Public Health Study Program, on 1-2 April 2014 a workshop was held to prepare for the opening of the Doctor of Public Health Study Program. With reference to the UNDIP Chancellor’s Decree No. 609/SK/UN7/2011 concerning Administration and Academic Management of Monodisciplined Postgraduate Study Programs underwent a management transfer from Postgraduate to their respective Faculties starting in 2013.
In 2014/2015, FKM-UNDIP won the trust of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia to open a Doctoral Program in Public Health Sciences through the Mandate Letter of the Directorate General of Higher Education Number 69/E.E2/DT/2014. Subsequently, the Decree for the establishment of the Doctoral Study Program in Faculty of Public Health Universitas Diponegoro was issued. 460/E/O/2014 dated October 7, 2014 concerning Permits to Organize Doctoral Programs in Faculty of Public Health Universitas Diponegoro in Semarang.
Since it was inaugurated in 2014, the Doctoral Program in Faculty of Public Health Universitas Diponegoro has begun to accept new students through the integrated Independent Examination route managed by the Education Quality Assurance and Development Institute (LP2MP) of Universitas Diponegoro. In early February 2017, the Doctoral Program in Faculty of Public Health Universitas Diponegoro was officially accredited “B” by LAM-PTKes according to Decree No. 0069/LAM-PTKes/Akr/Dok/I/2017.
In 2018 in accordance with the Decree of the Chancellor of UNDIP No. 678/UN7.P/HK/2018 dated July 25 2018, the name Doctor of Public Health Sciences (DIKM) was changed to Doctor of Public Health (DKM). In 2021, the DKM Study Program is officially accredited “UNGGUL (Superior)” by LAM-PTKes according to Decree No. 0439/LAM-PTKes/Akr/Dok/X/2021.
