Semarang (13/03), The Qualifying Exam for 19 students of the 2022 cohort of the DKM FKM Undip Doctoral Program has been completed, and all students have submitted their dissertation proposals, which have been revised based on feedback provided during the event. The next step is to assign advisors to the students. The advisory team for the DKM FKM Undip program consists of one primary advisor (promoter) and two assistant advisors (co-promoters 1 and 2).
The process of assigning advisory teams to students is carried out through a meeting between the program manager and the academic council team of the DKM FKM Undip program. All professors with a doctorate degree from FKM Undip are involved in the advisory process.
Starting this semester, the head of the DKM FKM program, Dr. dr. Bagoes Widjanarko, M.PH., has introduced a new approach to presenting advisory teams to students. All professors who will potentially serve as advisors to students are gathered with the students in a forum called “Socialization of Dissertation Advisory Explanation,” which is conducted online via Zoom. In his presentation, the DKM FKM head first shares the draft of the potential advisory teams with all attending professors for awareness. He then reads and introduces the lineup of dissertation advisory teams directly to the students, allowing them to become familiar with their advisors.
Hopefully, this socialization event will provide a new spirit for both professors and students in completing their dissertations, increasing the number of graduates who complete their studies on time.
